Bleach is one of the ‘Big Three’ shonen anime along with Naruto and One Piece. It is widely considered to be an action classic and has countless incredibly strong characters. Although we cannot cover all of them, we have compiled a list of the top 10 strongest characters in Bleach!

10. Lille Baron:

Introduced in the Thousand-Year-Blood War Arc with several other powerful Quincy, Lille Baron is in a different league himself. He boasts of accurate marksmanship and has a wide variety of unique powers that truly make him an intimidating opponent to face. He also has an enhanced form where he is capable of firing a range of multiple shots through a set of wings, which is his final form and his trump card, helping him outpower his enemy and win.

9. Byakuya Kuchiki

Calm and Composed, The Captain of the 6^th squad of the Soul Society is one of the most powerful and terrifying characters of the entire series. His agility, offensive strength, and his sword handling skills all put him in a class of his own. His Zanpakuto, Senbonzakura is one of the most long-ranged offensive-styled Zanpakuto as it disintegrates into thousands of petal-shaped blades that speak for Kuchiki’s offensive strength. His rational thinking makes Byakuya truly fearsome and worthy of being on this list.

8. Shunsui Kyousuke:

Probably one of the coolest and laid-back anime characters of all time, Shunsui Kyousuke is the captain of the 1^st squad of the Soul Society. Although the first impression of Kyousuke comes off as a relaxed lazy captain, don’t let it fool you, Kyousuke is insanely fearsome and daunting while in battle. His perfect swordsmanship, his sword control, his lethal Bankai, and his incredible spiritual energy make him so powerful. Obviously, you don’t get to be the captain of the squad until and unless you are overpowered yourself.

7.Kenpachi Zaraki:

A crazy fight enthusiast and definitely a fan favorite, Zaraki is the captain of the 11^th squad that already is composed of highly skilled swordsmen. Kenpachi Zaraki instilled fear in the hearts of various characters and is regarded as the epitome of terror. Although we never get to witness Zaraki’s true strength in the anime, in the manga, we get to know that he has mastered Nozarashi’s Bankai which puts him on a different level altogether.

6. Gerard Valkyrie:

Valkyrie is a Sternritter and therefore is blessed with special abilities that basically grant him invincibility and immortality in a way. Although a lot of Manga readers would want him to be much higher on the list, in the end, he loses all of his special powers which is a major reason for him to be positioned at this number on the list.

5. Sosuke Aizen:

Aizen is a master manipulator who literally controlled the whole Soul Society as his puppets and got his task completed smoothly. He was the former 5^th division captain who excelled in agility, swordsmanship, and intelligence. But it’s not just his intelligence or his agility or his swordsmanship that makes him so lethal, Aizen also has tons of special techniques under his sleeve which help him stand victorious in various tough battles. His anime presented character did not live up to the expectations of Manga readers, so do not let that fool you, Aizen is easily one of the strongest characters in the series.

4. Ichibe Hosube:

House is the protector of the Soul King and current commander of the Royal Guard which implies that Husube is an insanely strong character. His most remarkable special ability is that he wields ink that renders his opponents useless by literally stripping them of their powers. No wonder Ichibe is so widely considered to be one of the top 5 characters in Bleach.

3. Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto:

Yamamoto is an overpowered individual who governed the Soul Society for thousands of years. Everything about Yamamoto is overpowered and elite; his Bankai, his skills, and his experience. Yamamoto reminds us again that we should never go around messing around with old men in anime

2. Ichigo Kurosaki:

The main character of the show is easily deserving of the second spot because of his array of abilities. His incredible Spiritual Energy, his Soul Reaper powers, his Bankai, his Quincy powers, his Hollow or Visored powers, and all of his various lethal forms grant Ichigo to be an insanely tough anime character. Ichigo starts as an average Substitute Soul Reaper but works his way to the top. Ichigo is extremely fierce and can be undeniably labeled as one of the most powerful characters in the entire series.

The son of the Soul King, Yhwach is simply an outstanding character with the capability of ending the entire Soul Society single-handedly if not for the plot armor. Yhwach had been sealed away for 1000 years, which just explains how lethal of a character he is. He is a refined character with supreme special abilities, his scary power nullifying abilities, his vast experience and expertise in battles, and above all his intelligence that makes him such an intimidating character in Bleach. Easily agreed by every manga reader, Yhwach is unarguably the strongest Bleach character.
