Wit Studio and CloverWorks will produce separate Spy x Family episodes

If you are into any type of comedic anime community you must’ve heard about Spy x Family. It is one of the most anticipated anime of spring 2022. It is produced by Wit Studios and Cloverworks. However, according to a recent article published by Nikkei Entertainment Magazine, it was established that both the houses Wit Studios and Cloverworks will produce the episodes of Spy x Family separately.

CloverWorks will produce even-numbered episodes (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24). While Wit Studios will produce odd-numbered episodes (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25). The same odd-even distribution happened with Takt op Destiny which was produced by Madhouse and Mappa.

Will the animation be different from both the production houses? We will find this out soon after the release of 2nd episode. The series Spy x Family will have a total of 25 episodes. The first set of 25 episodes will be released this season and the rest remaining 13 episodes will be released in October later this year. The series will be available on Crunchyroll for streaming.
1st episode was completed by Wit Studio and the next episode is in the hands of Cloverworks. We’ll have to wait and see what the house can deliver in episode 2.

Tatsuya Endo, the author started publishing the manga through Shueisha’s Shone Jump Plus website in March 2019. Since then it has already been more than 12 million copies in circulation.

Synopsis

Spy x Family is based on a spy (Loid Forger) whose mission requires having a family as a disguise in order to accomplish his current mission. The family he got seems normal but he is unaware of their hidden talents. His wife (Yor Forger) is an assassin and his daughter (Anya Forger) is an esper and can read minds. These characters will make the story more intense and comedic at the same time. As of now, only 1st episode is available to stream but you can explore digital and physical copies of the manga.
