Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! is a romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Take. It has been serialized online via Niconico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017, and has been collected in 10 tankōbon volumes by Fujimi Shobo as of March 2023.
The story revolves around Hana Uzaki, an energetic college student who has a crush on her upperclassman Shinichi Sakurai. Hana attempts to spend time with the serious, introverted Shinichi to get closer to him. Their opposite personalities lead to comedic situations as Hana tries to get Shinichi to loosen up.
The manga was adapted into an anime television series by studio ENGI. The first season aired from July to September 2020. A second season titled Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! ω aired from October to December 2022. Both seasons aired on AT-X and other networks.
The lighthearted slice-of-life series combines romance and comedy elements. It focuses on the growing relationship between Hana and Shinichi as she tries to get him to enjoy life more.

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! is a lighthearted romantic comedy that follows the relationship between two college students – the bubbly and energetic Hana Uzaki and the serious, introverted Shinichi Sakurai.
Hana is thrilled to discover that she and Shinichi now attend the same university, as she has had a crush on him since high school. However, after observing him for a year, she notices that Shinichi has become a loner who does not have any friends.
Considering he is intimidating and in need of socialization, Hana takes it upon herself to spend as much time as possible with Shinichi. She disturbs and stalks the unwilling Shinichi in an effort to get him to enjoy life more. Her endurance leads to amusing situations due to their opposite personalities.
While Hana sees her actions as helping Shinichi, he finds her bothersome and just wants to be left alone. But underneath the comedic hijinks, there seems to be a warm friendship developing.
Will Shinichi eventually open up to Hana’s friendly overtures? Or will her misunderstanding of his personality lead to problems? The manga and anime follow their growing relationship.
