When his friends at the Occult Club accidentally unseal a cursed object from Sukuna, who was the most powerful cursed spirit in history, Yuji and a jujutsu sorcerer he met earlier by the name of Megumi need to fend off the curses attracted by it which eventually leads to Yuji eating Sukuna’s finger to protect his peers. This leads to him sharing a body with the fearsome cursed spirit.
Cursed Womb Arc (Chapters 6-9)
When the trio of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara are sent to investigate a detention center and help survivors, they encounter a special-grade cursed spirit. Seeing the dire situation, Yuji asks his partners to escape and then unleashes Sukuna to slay the curse. Following the battle, Sukuna snatches his heart and takes Yuji’s body hostage. With Megumi’s help, he manages to reclaim it, however, Yuji dies in the process.
Cursed Training Arc (Chapters 10-18)
Following his revival, Gojo makes Yuji train in secret to prepare him for the Tokyo Goodwill event. Vs. Mahito Arc (Chapters 19-31)
After the demise of his classmates in a theatre, Junpei, a young student follows Mahito, the one responsible for it in order to learn more about the power. Itadori on the other hand is assigned to grade 1 sorcerer, Nanami, who he accompanies to investigate the murders. Itadori managed to bond with Junpei and even eats dinner with him unaware of his connection with Mahito. Soon he is revealed this in a very harsh way which leads to him and Nanami working together in order to beat Mahito in battle.
Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc (Chapters 32-54)
The arc follows the intense and fierce series of jujutsu battles that take place between teams consisting of the Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu schools in a goodwill competition. However, the Kyoto students have an alternative objective of killing Yuji which they plan to carry out during the event. In the heat of battle, everyone is surprised by the appearance of a special grade curse called Hanami, who is part of Mahito’s group. Setting their differences aside, both schools decide to team up to face the challenge.
Death Painting Arc (Chapters 55-64)
When Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara are assigned to investigate a series of mysterious deaths, they run into a group of powerful curses who incarnate due to Cursed Womb: Death Paintings. To overcome the obstacle, we see them evolving in terms of power as Megumi performs a domain expansion while Nobara and Yuji work together in perfect unison while showing innovative uses of their techniques.
Gojo’s Past Arc (Chapters 65-79)
Also called the Hidden Inventory Arc, we are finally shown the past and history of the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer Gojo, and his connection with his current nemesis, Geto. We are also introduced to the highly awaited Toji Fushiguro, who has reached the pinnacle of strength despite having no cursed energy. We see the epic battle between him and Gojo where they test each other to the extreme.
Shibuya Incident Arc (Chapters 80-136)
Considered by most as the pièce de résistance of Jujutsu Kaisen, the Shibuya incident shows us the plan by Geto and Mahito finally commence as they lead the cursed spirits and curse users into battle with the objective of sealing Gojo Satoru. The arc is filled with tragedy and the questioning of one’s own ideals. We see terrific character development for all characters while being presented with battles that keep us on the edge of our seats throughout.
Itadori’s Extermination Arc (Chapters 137-143)
Post the events at Shibuya, Japan is thrown into chaos where a large number of people and politicians go missing and curses roam the streets freely. Without the protection of Gojo, Itadori’s execution has been ordered again and things go from bad to worse when Yuta, Gojo’s previous student targets Yuji to kill him.
Perfect Preparation Arc (Chapters 144-158)
This arc dives deeper into the students at Tokyo Jujutsu High as they still struggle to deal with the consequences of the Shibuya incident. In addition to this, they also start preparing for Kenjaku’s next “big plan”, The Culling Games. We are introduced to Hakari and also witness the brutal annihilation of the Zenin Family which is carried out by a Maki who is unrecognizable compared to when she first appeared.
Tokyo No.1 Colony Arc (Chapters 159-173)

Sendai Colony Arc (Chapters 174-180)

We see a grand conclusion to the arc as Yuta faces off against both Takako Uro and Ryu Ishigori who are formidable opponents in their own right.
Tokyo No.2 Colony Arc (Chapters 181-190)
In a similar fashion to how the Culling Game had been handled till then, we are taken to yet another part of the event where we see Panda and Hakari as they venture into Tokyo No.2 Colony to track down a Jujutsu Sorcerer from over 400 years ago by the name of Hajime Kashimo. This arc further solidifies how flexible and clever the concept of cursed energy is as we see Panda struggle in his battle against Kashimo before Hakari intervenes and they proceed to have a long yet exciting fight.
Sakurajima Colony Arc (Chapters 191-198)
This arc revolves around Maki and Noritoshi Kamo as they explore Sakurajima Colony before having to face an old foe, a cursed Naoya Zenin. On the brink of defeat in her battle with Naoya, sorcerers specializing in swordsmanship and sumo intervene while helping Maki reach her true potential and reach the levels of Toji.
Culling Games Conclusion (Chapters 199-222)
While the arc is yet to be named, we see Yuji and Megumi form an alliance with Angel before it’s revealed that Sukuna is Angel’s target. We are then shown scenes from a few months prior in another part of the world, where Kenjaku is making plans with the U.S. government them raiding the Culling Game due to an alternative use of Cursed Energy which might change the structure of the world.
Shinjuku Showdown Arc (Chapters 223 – Current)
Possibly the most awaited face-off in the recent Shounen History, the greatest Jujutsu Sorcerer Gojo Satoru escapes the prison realm and faces off against the King of Curses with his newly acquired body, Ryomen Sukuna. The two of them face each other at Shinjuku with several key figures of the Jujutsu world observing from the background. The battle is still going on in the manga while already impressing fans with its choreography as well as showcasing the ingenuity of arguably the two most popular Jujutsu Kaisen characters. With questions such as the stronger domain expansion and the more powerful person among the two finally being answered, the arc is an amazing payoff after the detailed and expansive Culling Games.
