Katsuki Bakugo Wiki, Appearance, Abilities, Hero Name, and More

In Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga series, Katsuki Bakugo is the main deuteragonist. In the Japanese version of the anime, he is played by Nobuhiko Okamoto. His Hero name is Dynamight or Dainamaito as pronounced in the series. His childhood buddies, like Deku, have nicknamed him Kacchan. He, too, is a U.A. High School student pursuing his dream of becoming a Pro Hero. Katsuki tormented Izuku Midoriya as a child since he didn’t have a Quirk in the series. However, after losing to Izuku in a battle while training at U.A. High School, he began to see him in a new light and the two quickly bonded soon after.

Katsuki has garnered more positive feedback and comments from viewers than Deku. One for his assertive yet gentle nature, and another for his attractive appearance. He is played by Nobuhiko Okamoto.

Appearance

Katsuki is a lean, strong young man with a fair complexion. His sandy blonde hair is short and spiky, with choppy bangs that terminate just over his brows. His piercing eyes are brilliant red. He starts off as a bright student with dreams of being the world’s greatest hero, but he quickly develops an arrogant, violent, and crude demeanour. Katsuki’s physique is covered in scars, one on his left shoulder and the other on his lower stomach.

He wears his normal school uniform, which consists of a white collared shirt, a long blazer coat, and loose baggy slacks, while at school. His hero outfit is a tight black sleeveless tank top with an orange ‘X’ across the middle with a V neck. The support firm that designed his costume is shown by two dots along the left line of his collar. A metallic neck brace with three openings on each side is also included in his costume. From his grenade-like gauntlets to his biceps, his sleeves extend. His grenade-carrying belt keeps his baggy pants with knee-guards in place, and he wears black knee-high combat boots with orange soles and eyelets beneath them. His mask is jagged and black, with a big orange-rimmed flare protruding from each side as it wraps over his eyes.

Character traits and Abilities

Katsuki had revealed himself to be an extremely arrogant and condescending adolescent towards virtually everyone because he was so confident in his own quirks and abilities. Katsuki is an unheroic, crass, short-tempered, and aggressive individual. His troubling behaviour dates back to his early youth when he was known to torment his boyhood friend Deku aka Izuku Midoriya just because he was Quirkless. He frequently boasts about the strength of his Explosion Quirk, claiming that he is on the verge of surpassing the legendary Hero “All Might.” He despises it when his pride is trampled. However, his ego has been shrinking dramatically while at U.A., and he appears to have matured as well, which is also why he is adored by fans of My Hero Academia.

Katsuki Bakugo has the ability to create explosives with his hands by detonating the nitro-glycerine-like material he sweats. He has also proven to be a capable hero who can fight powerful opponents and devise cunning methods. He learns a variety of different methods to use his peculiarity throughout the series. Overuse of his peculiarity, however, has the potential to break his forearms. The following are some of his abilities and characteristics:

• Exceptional power/speed– Katsuki has proven to be physically strong, and he can even launch himself at great speeds with explosives.
• Mindfulness -Katsuki is an exceptionally bright student. He has the ability to analyse his opponent’s strength quickly.
