“God” Usopp is the sniper for the Straw Hat Pirates who joined the crew at the end of the Syrup Village arc, becoming the fourth member. His father is the notorious sniper Yasopp of the Red-haired Pirate. He wants to become a brave warrior of the sea just like Elbaf Giants.

Appearance

Usopp is a tall, lanky youngster with medium-length black curly hair who appears to be referencing Pinocchio with his long nose and big lips. Usopp got his fabled nose from his mother, while the rest of his features resemble his father.

After the 2y time skip, he is far more muscular than previously and has longer hair. Usopp is now wearing a new set of eye protection along with either headphones or ear plugs with a brand-new white suncap that he wears on his head. He also has a small goatee now along with a pair of boots and a fresh set of yellow slacks with red suspenders.

His height when Usopp was first introduced in the anime was 174 cm and after the time skip, it is 176 cm. Usopp’s occupations include being a master sniper and a pirate. Before that, he was a Toad Oil Salesman.

Personality

Ussop is a multitasker he was Shipwright ( before Franky), Weapon developer (for Nami), Painter ( Straw Hat Flag), and Sniper. He is selfless, and caring and works to improve both himself and as a pirate. He also puts a lot of effort into ensuring the crew’s safety and assisting his fellow crew members in realizing both their own and his own goals.

Usopp lied frequently, been cowardly, and enjoyed making up stories to both friends and complete strangers since his introduction. He is typically regarded as the weakest member of the crew and the Straw Hats’ comic relief.

Yet Usopp, who is still a coward, can be incredibly brave in the face of all odds for the benefit of his friends and allies, as he demonstrated when he steadfastly refused to give up on the severely hurt Kin’emon and Kiku while being surrounded by fire and the Beast Pirates.

He also chastises them for voluntarily choosing death above their own pride and honor.

Usopp created him alter identity, Sogeking after he abandoned the crew during the Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs. Usopp was able to battle alongside the others as his alter-ego without having to bring up the subject of his departure.

Usopp learned throughout his time as Sogeking that although he was one of the crew’s weakest members, his function as the sniper and a supporting crew member made him more valuable than he had previously believed. Finally, his wanted poster identified him as Sogeking.

Abilities

• Usopp is a really talented sniper. He was proven to have a lot of his father Yasopp’s outstanding marksman skills early on in the series.
• Using his Kenbunshoku Haki ( Zooming) he can shoot the enemy from a distance of 1Km.

Relationships

Usopp and his crew definitely get along well. He claimed that he felt inferior to the rest of the crew when he quit the group due to their fearlessness and supernatural strength. First Usopp was introduced were Nami, Zoro, and Luffy. When he tried to scare them away from his village because they are pirates.

But he has a close, brotherly bond with Luffy and they will frequently be silly together. Both he and Luffy are traveling in the same direction—Usopp to his father and Luffy to Shanks—in order to eventually meet the Red Hair Pirates gang.
