Netflix Schedules Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Netflix has mentioned Cyberpunk Edgerunners in the upcoming section. The series is by Studio Trigger and is based on CD Project Red of Cyberpunk game and the show is set to debut on 13th September in the United States. The character of David Martinez is played by Zach Aguilar in the English dub of the anime. Hiroyuki Imaishi is the director of the anime and Yoh Yoshinari is the animation director and the character designer. “This Fire” is the opening theme song by Franz Ferdinand’s rock band. Taiki Sajurai, Dylan Thomas, and Yoshiki Usa are the showrunners alongside Rafal Jaki who is also the executive producer. Saya Elder, Bartosz Sztybor, and Satoru Homma are the producers.
Ascendant Animation Licenses, Produces English Dub for Show Time!
On Monday Ascendant Animation announced that they have licensed Even the Songstress Wants to Do It (Uta no O-nee-san Datte Shitai), the adaptation of Girigirri’s Even Miss Minami Wants to Have Sex (Minami O-nee-san Datte H Shitai) manga. The company is currently making an English dub for the Show Time series (AnimeFesta). English dub is being directed by P.M. Seymour. Steve Nunez will handle the mixing of audio, mixing, and engineering. Cornell Kellum is the executive producer and Kevin Frane is the local supervisor. The main cast will be the same for the premium “explicit version” and for the “on-air version” unlike other Animefesta projects. The premium version was released first followed by the on-air version.
Housing Complex C Anime Premieres In October
On Tuesday Adult Swim revealed that the horror anime Housing Complex C will air on Toona on 1st October at 12 am EDT and will have 30 min episodes. Ogikuo animation studio is the home for Yuji Nara who is directing the show. The credit for the original concept goes to Amphibian. Akatsuki has directed an advert for Gucci featuring animated Miley Cyrus.
Artist Sho Murase Passes Away
On 12th August, Sho Murase passed away due to certain health complications including kidney failure. She was born in Japan but relocated to Spain when she was 1. Later after studying graphic design and fine arts she moved to San Francisco. She is famous for her works and art pieces at DC Comics, and Disney. Her first graphic novel, Sei was published by Image Comics in 2003.
Sho illustrated Nancy Drew’s manga-style novel series. She was also the main character designer of Guardians of Luna which is under the licensing of Funimation.
Edens Zero 2 2023
On Wednesday Eden Zero’s official Twitter account released that a new second season will release in 2023. A new video teaser was also attached with the announcement. The first season was aired in April 2021 in Japan and it had 25 episodes. Outside Japan, it was streaming on Netflix from August 2021. The chief director of the anime at J.C. Staff was Shijin Ishihara alongside Yushi Suzuki who directed the anime. Mashima released the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2018. In English, the manga is published by Kodansha Comics.
