The Easton Enrollment arc of Mashle is its first arc and spans 15 chapters. It gives us a flavor of what is to come in the series while also introducing the world and its characters.
The arc begins by introducing us to Mash, a young boy who is born without any powers in a world where magic is everything. While living a peaceful life with his father, his lack of magical powers is soon discovered and he is forced to join the Easton Magic Academy or risk being persecuted forever.
In this academy, Mash is set with the goal of becoming a Divine Visionary – the best of the best among magic students, in order to secure a safe future for his loved ones.
While one might think that Mash would struggle with this, he surprises everyone through his physical strength which is able to fight against even magic. We follow his journey through this environment where he meets several friends and also faces off against powerful enemies.

The Magia Lupus Arc is the second arc of the manga as well as the concluding arc of the first season of the anime. It spans 24 chapters and nearly 7 episodes of the anime.
The arc follows the actions of a group known as Magia Lupus which steals coins from the students at Easton Academy,
With their sights set on House Adler, which is the house of our main characters, they will be roped into fighting against this secret organization.
The Magia Lupus arc embraces Mashle’s identity as a battle shounen and gives us several exciting fights between its characters. It also gives us a view into the prejudice that believes that magic is superior to everything else.
Most importantly, we also get to see Mash finally proving everyone wrong with his brute strength as he stuns the Magia Lupus group.
Execution Arc
Manga Chapters: 40 – 43
The execution arc is the shortest arc of the manga and spans only 4 chapters and has Mash dealing with the consequences of revealing that he has no magic in the Magia Lupus arc.
As he is brought in front of the high-ranking officials of his school to be judged, it is initially decided that the only option would be to kill Mash and that the world is not ready to accept those without magical powers.
However, with the sudden appearance of the main antagonist of the series, Innocent Zero, they are led to believe that Mash’s mysterious connection with the group and his abnormal strength will serve to their advantage.
While the arc is short, it gives us detailed explanations of why magicians are revered in this world and the various perspectives on non-magic people.
Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc
Manga Chapters: 44 – 74
The Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc is one of the most loved arcs in Mashle and runs for 5 volumes with 31 chapters. It follows yet another important step in Mash’s path to peace, becoming a divine visionary who stands out in strength amongst his peers.
The arc follows a series of challenges and tests that keep getting harder in order to thoroughly assess the abilities of its contestants. It shows us the potential that each of our favorite characters holds while also introducing us to dynamic new ones.
The Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc features some of the best fights of the entire manga and also strengthens the bonds between our main characters. It reveals several important plot points and also has shocking twists that stun readers.

Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam

The Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam, as its name suggests, covers the final exam of the Divine Visionary selection trials. This arc runs for 4 volumes with 28 chapters.
The arc introduces us to the three esteemed magic schools in the world of Mashle while giving us an insight into their features as well as their student representatives.

Along with the arc featuring the explosive battles that are characteristic of Mashle, it also sets up the thrilling concluding arc of Mashle – The Eclipse Arc.
Eclipse Arc
Manga Chapters: 103 – 162
The Eclipse Arc is the final and longest arc of Mashle, spanning nearly 60 chapters. The arc revolves around the much-awaited battle between our main characters and the villains – Innocent Zero.
As the protagonists train hard to stop the evil organization’s devious plans, Innocent Zero himself and everyone working under him are not going to make it an easy battle for them. The arc completely raises the intensity and provides the drama that many felt Mashle lacked.
It also shines the spotlight on side characters as we finally get to see them showcasing the results of their training and experiences.
While the overall opinion on Mashle is divided as many can feel that it is a cookie-cutter Shounen story, it is still a series that stays consistent from start to end while leaving you thoroughly entertained.
